Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Test Prep Tutor to support students preparing for the Pre-SAT, SAT, and ACT through personalized, strategy-based instruction. This role focuses on strengthening academic skills while teaching executive functioning strategies such as time management, organization, and test-taking confidence.
Responsibilities
• Provide individualized and small-group Pre-SAT, SAT, and ACT preparation sessions
• Teach test-taking strategies, pacing, and problem-solving skills
• Support reading comprehension, writing, and math concepts aligned with standardized exams
• Incorporate executive functioning strategies to help students stay organized and focused
• Track student progress and adjust instruction as needed
• Communicate professionally with families and collaborate with the Learn & Grow team
Qualifications
• Teaching certification or strong classroom teaching experience (grades 8–12 preferred)
• Prior experience preparing students for SAT, ACT, or standardized exams
• Strong literacy and/or math instructional background
• Experience supporting diverse learners and building student confidence
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
