Provide expert nursing care as a Telemetry RN on the night shift at a leading short-term acute care hospital in the Saint Louis, MO area. This contract opportunity offers a dynamic 3x12-hour schedule (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM) with the chance to work across two facilities, providing varied clinical experience and professional growth. The unit averages a daily census of 16 patients, maintaining a nurse-to-patient ratio between 1:4 and 1:6, ensuring quality, focused patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive telemetry nursing care to adults and geriatrics, including cardiac monitoring, post-cath lab management, neuro/stroke care, and total joint replacement recovery.
• Float as needed between two hospital locations to support patient care demands.
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records for accurate and timely documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to manage patients with complex medical and surgical needs, including general surgery, wound care, diabetes management, COVID-19, and oral surgery.
• Participate in orientation and maintain required certifications including NIH Stroke Scale, ACLS, and BCLS.
Desired Experience:
• Minimum 2 years telemetry nursing experience, with preference for those comfortable as first-time travelers.
• Experience in inpatient neuro/stroke and post-cath lab patient management.
• Skilled in EPIC charting.
• Current certifications in NIH Stroke Scale, ACLS, and BCLS.
