We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Manager who will work as a communication bridge between our engineering teams and technical customers. This role should be considered by applicants with extensive engineering knowledge and some experience with product management or building new products.
What you’ll be working on:Managing the product roadmap for the Apify platform (e.g., storage, proxy, virtualization, etc.) and making tough prioritization decisions.
Collaborating with engineers to design new platform features (like Actor Standby or Scoped API tokens), and ensuring the features are well-suited for both technical and non-technical users.
Engaging with our developers, clients, and business partners to understand complex technical use cases and implementation challenges.
Cooperating across all our teams to ensure the Platform product team can contribute to Apify’s overall strategy while maintaining technical excellence.
Researching user requirements to formulate and develop platform roadmaps that balance technical feasibility with business value.
The ability to thrive in fast-paced collaborative environments, especially with engineering teams.
Hands-on development or engineering experience. You are able to read code and debug technical issues.
Deep experience with building SaaS (preferably PaaS) products from a technical perspective.
Fluent communication skills in English, especially when explaining complex technical concepts.
Technical experience in the field of APIs, storage, and proxies is a big advantage.
You have built strong relationships with engineering, product peers, design, and other teams.
You have conducted developer interviews and gathered key pain points and needs.
You have audited the current state of APIs, storage, proxy, documentation, and proposed improvements.
You have defined the initial Platform strategy and roadmap and aligned them with Apify's goals and vision.
You have prioritized quick wins that improve the quality of life for Apifiers and users.
You understand and have started tracking key Platform team metrics and/or defined new ones.
You have shipped impactful features or improvements that are measurable and well-adopted.
You have influenced product development across multiple product teams via improvements to the Apify platform.
You have established a repeatable process for gathering, processing, and responding to feedback from Apify’s delivery team, community developers, and other touchpoints.
You have become the go-to person for all business and many technical questions related to the Apify platform.
