Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Supplemental Instruction Coordinator to join our team at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. The successful candidate will provide leadership and supervision to the Supplemental Instruction (SI) program, working closely with faculty, staff, and students to ensure academic success. This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on student learning outcomes and contribute to the university's mission. Key Responsibilities: Provide management and oversight of SI daily activities, including on-site and online SI sessions and embedded SI sessions Recruit, hire, and train SI Leaders and embedded SI Leaders, providing ongoing support and supervision Develop and implement best practices in academic support, fostering a collaborative learning environment Communicate with campus partners to increase academic support, align curricular needs with academic support services Coordinate scheduling and manage all time entry of SI/embedded sessions and Vol Study Center support staff Maintain high-quality and ethical standards for the SI and embedded SI programs Evaluate program effectiveness, conducting student surveys, reviewing usage and progress reports, and modifying services as needed Requirements: Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree One year of experience working in a higher education, K-12, or community outreach environment Preferred Qualifications: Experience working within a Supplemental Instruction program or other programs providing learning assistance Knowledge of best practices in Supplemental Instruction, learning assistance training, and learning strategies Experience working with diverse populations and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work independently and utilize sound judgment Demonstrated skills with software and/or web-based applications for scheduling and data-collection purposes What We Offer: Competitive salary Opportunity to make a positive impact on student learning outcomes Collaborative and dynamic work environment Professional development opportunities How to Apply: If you are a motivated and organized professional looking to make a difference in higher education, please submit your application, including a cover letter, resume, and list of three references.
