What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Supervise and train coders, managing workload goals and performance standards
- Assist the coding manager with scheduling, payroll, and physician education
- Engage in production coding when necessary
- Foster communication and collaboration between key stakeholders and support departments
- Organize and oversee special projects to ensure timely and accurate completion
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate's Degree in a Health Information related field or 4 years of relevant experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a production coder, including ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS coding
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- At least 1 year in a leadership role overseeing staff or processes
- Professional Coding Certification
