Translates Hickson Optimal Elite Group’s human-systems framework into the specific competitive, cultural, and seasonal realities of a given sport. Ensures insights land as practical support for coaches and staff rather than abstract theory. Description About Hickson Optimal Elite Group Hickson Optimal Elite Group embeds within professional and elite sport organizations to manage nervous-system load, cognitive availability, and human-state risk as performance variables. The firm integrates applied neuroscience, behavioral observation, and performance data architecture to identify and mitigate sources of performance volatility, decision degradation, dissociative coping, and stress accumulation across competitive cycles. Work is conducted in real environments—training, travel, competition, and recovery—allowing for continuous monitoring of human-state signals alongside workload, recovery, and contextual factors. Data systems are designed for interpretability and restraint, supporting decision-making under uncertainty rather than maximizing measurement. The objective is to preserve learning capacity, stabilize availability, and reduce avoidable variance across individuals and teams over the course of a season. About the Role Hickson Optimal Elite Group works across multiple sports, each with its own competitive rhythms, stress patterns, and cultural realities. The Sport Integration Lead ensures that HOEG’s human-systems approach is translated accurately and credibly into the specific sport environment. This role bridges applied neuroscience concepts with the lived realities of coaches, players, and performance staff, ensuring insights land as support rather than interference. What You’ll Work On - Adapt HOEG frameworks to the tactical, seasonal, and cultural demands of a specific sport - Collaborate closely with coaching and performance staff to align language and expectations - Identify sport-specific stressors such as schedule density, travel load, role volatility, or injury risk - Support integration of new signings, role changes, and return-to-play transitions - Help frame NSB insights in ways coaches can act on without friction - Flag moments where small timing or communication adjustments may reduce risk How You’ll Be Supported - Direct collaboration with the Embedded Human Systems Lead - Clear guidance on scope and decision authority - Access to performance and contextual data through HOEG systems - Emphasis on translation and judgment rather than ownership of outcomes What We’re Looking For - Professional experience within the specific sport (playing, coaching, performance, or operations) - Strong credibility with technical staff - Ability to communicate clearly under pressure - Comfort operating between disciplines without overstepping Why This Role Matters This role prevents generic solutions and protects trust. It ensures HOEG’s work feels native to the sport, not imported. About the Company There is a moment inside of every elite performance environment - where the data says one thing, & the room says another. Most organizations have learned to trust the data. Hickson Sport was built to read the room first, and then match the data. Applying data too soon, can set you years behind. In fact, many teams will be lightyears ahead of others, due to simply doing data right, the first time. We embed practitioners inside of elite sport organizations, & we close the Somatic Signal Gap: the living interval in which a nervous system is already shifting, compensating, or drifting before any wearable, dashboard, or conscious self-report has caught up. By the time a metric moves, the organism may already have been learning from an unresolved state for days. We are present inside of that interval, reading what the body is carrying before it surfaces as consequence. Our practitioners are not consultants in the practical sense. Think of the 2010 Christopher Nolan film Inception: a team trained to enter the layers of a system that no one else can access, moving through it without disturbing the surface, reading what lives underneath, and bringing back intelligence that changes every decision made above it. Our practitioners operate with that same quality of depth. They are calibrated instruments, with nervous systems developed to the standard required to detect, process, and interpret what the somatic layer reveals in real time, under real load, across the unpredictable conditions of a full competitive season. The intelligence they generate feeds directly back into the data infrastructure already in place, sharpening its vision and surfacing signals it is architecturally unable to produce on its own. We build nervous system profiles longitudinally. We forecast state trajectories before they arrive at consequence, & with mysteriously precise accuracy. We bring that same precision to scouting & roster decisions, reading the nervous systems that will be asked to perform, analyzing the autonomic range an athlete has. Through wholesome and candid interaction, we slowly shift the building. Simple nervous system math. Like a magician, but for the emotional baseline & bandwidth of the entire organization. Athletes will noticeably become easier to work with, to coach, and they will even begin to show some additional favorable traits in short time. The same could be said for the coaches and organizational staff as well. All picked up through nervous system interaction with an embedded observer. Social Osmosis. In this case, Calibrated Social Osmosis. What we leave behind, inside of every room & every person, is a little more clarity, a little more range, & a little more of what was already there, finally making its way to the surface.
