Location: San Francisco, CA Category: Student Positions Posted On: Wed Aug 13 2025 Job Description: SUMMARY The Academic Administration team is seeking a student worker dedicated to planning, creating, managing, and implementing social media for multiple academic departments. This position works closely with the two Academic Administration staff members serving as social media liaisons, one for School of Consciousness and Transformation (SCT) and one for School of Professional Psychology and Health (SPPH). The student worker in this role is responsible for steadily increasing account followers and producing content for academic department social media accounts including Instagram, Bluesky, Facebook, and X, as well as LinkedIn and YouTube. The student worker would also work closely with department chairs to develop social media goals and approve content. This position is fully remote. This is a year-round position which includes Fall 2025, Spring 2026, and Summer 2026 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Create and implement social media marketing plans. • Curate and schedule posts for active social media accounts. • Develop content to increase engagement and enrollment. • Produce videography and edit content to the appropriate social media format. • Produce photography or create lively, enticing, and personable images for social • media. • Conduct interviews to collect content from faculty, alums, and students. • Draft meaningful content that reflects the culture of each academic department. • Strong knowledge of current social media related apps and services including apps • for quick image and video editing, captioning, link trees, reposting, etc. • Monitor and respond to comments and direct messages in a timely manner Job Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Applicants must be currently enrolled at CIIS in a certificate/degree-seeking • program. • Familiarity with managing social media platforms and ease with navigating their • features. • Strong creative writing and verbal communication skills. • Ability to learn and adhere to CIIS's brand standards, voice, and marketing • practices. • Excellent project management skills to consistently meet deadlines. • Self-starter: Ability to work independently and find work when tasks are completed. • Ability problem solve when necessary. • Attention to detail, punctuality, and reliable attendance. • Ability to interact professionally with students, faculty, and staff • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding faculty, staff and student information • when required. • It would be preferable for someone to be close to the SF Bay Area to attend and • capture in-person programming but not required. ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS Collaboration and constant work around and with other people. LOCATION REMOTE, 15 hours per week Additional Information: WAGES AND BENEFITS $19.18/ hr NOTES TO CANDIDATE • Working Conditions Duties are primarily performed in an office environment at a desk or computer terminal, typically Monday through Friday. • Background Check Due to the sensitivity and requirements of this position, you should expect to undergo and be cleared of an employment background/criminal check, if extended an offer for employment.
