ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Shop Foreman to join our vehicle sustainment team. This position is remote with 100% travel. The selected candidate will provide maintenance and logistics support to multiple families of vehicles globally on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program.
Prepares work schedules to ensure efficient operations.
Maintains knowledge of processes and equipment and troubleshoots issues that arise.
Notifies maintenance department of equipment problems.
Ensures that employees comply with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
Ensures paperwork is completed and signed correctly.
100% travel to worksites in various locations, United States, Europe and Pacific Region.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
3+ years of qualified mechanical experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field (OR) 7+ years of qualified mechanical experience and a trade school certification or associate degree in a related field (OR) 9+ years of qualified mechanical experience in one or more of the following: light or heavy-duty trucks, ground power units, aircraft tugs, air conditioning and heater units, cargo loaders, de-icing vehicles, runway sweepers, light carts, fuel and defuel equipment.
Proven maintenance, repair and technical experience and background in industrial manufacturing, commercial maintenance or military operations or maintenance.
Mechanical and electronic troubleshooting skills to diagnose, align, and repair failed and damaged systems.
Demonstrated experience in providing formal, over the shoulder, and on the spot training to contractor and unit personnel.
Proven communicator in verbal and written disciplines to include basic computer skills and document preparation.
Ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening.
Must possess a Valid Driver’s License for the location in which the work will be performed as well as a High School Diploma or GED.
Experience with simultaneous maintenance, modification, and repair projects on a variety of maintenance actions, tasks, or repairs.
Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance prior to starting this position.
Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel.
Must be able to work in high noise areas.
Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts.
Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.
