Job Summary
As a Senior Virtual Design Sales Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of virtual design sales specialists who work with clients to create their ideal homes based on their individual budgets, styles, and spaces. You will be the driving force behind our design sales team, providing guidance, support, and leadership to ensure that our clients receive an exceptional experience. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, develop, and motivate a team of virtual design sales specialists to meet or exceed sales, customer satisfaction, and revenue targets.
- Provide expert guidance to your team on interior design processes, including reviewing moodboards, directing designers on customizations, communicating with suppliers, and closing deals.
- Take ownership of and continuously improve the design team structure, processes, and tooling to ensure that designers have the resources they need to succeed.
- Respond to client inquiries, requests, or concerns in a professional and courteous manner to achieve a satisfactory resolution.
- Make recommendations or take corrective action to manage performance as needed.
- Collaborate with Talent Management and senior leadership to address and resolve employee issues.
- Review time-off requests to ensure that staffing levels meet business requirements.
- Develop new workflows, test new software/tools, and build adaptable processes and tests from scratch.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and cross-functional partners.
- Partner with the Design Services business and strategy team to manage team effectiveness and quality, customer satisfaction, sales volume, and relationships.
- Embody a positive and professional attitude at all times with clients and colleagues.
- Participate in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment where there can be rapid changes in products, technologies, offerings, and projects.
- Plan and execute team engagement activities, sales challenges, and ongoing training classes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field.
- 3+ years of sales experience, preferably in a design-related environment.
- 3+ years of previous leadership experience.
- Experience with Salesforce is preferred, as well as knowledge of design tools (AutoCad/Revit/other).
- Experience with managing and motivating a virtual, distributed team is preferred.
- Passion for exceptional customer service and a drive to exceed sales targets.
- Strong organizational, self-motivation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Demonstrated use of technology to drive business results and ability to learn new software programs quickly.
- Proficiency in Google and Microsoft Office applications and technical acumen to learn new business systems.
