About the Systems Engineering Group
The Systems Engineering Group is the technical backbone of our Sales and Field Operations organization. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you'll be part of a team that designs and implements innovative communications solutions that make a difference in the moments that matter. You'll serve as the solution architecture and technical consulting lead, with end-to-end design, technology consultancy, and implementation responsibility for all pre-sale and post-sale engagements nationwide.
Job Description: Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-sales technical expertise during the installation, implementation, and maintenance of company products, ensuring that client needs are met and solutions are fully functioning according to specification.
- Implement detailed customer installation requirements and provide follow-up support to company sales staff and customer personnel by disseminating technical information on specific applications.
- Design company products or systems from technical roadmap to architectural designs, defining appropriate platforms and system specifications.
- Determine core server infrastructure, capacity planning, storage requirements, and networking protocols, developing technical, tactical, and strategic plans.
- Lead and define technical network architecture designs for ASTRO 25 mobile backhaul networks and adjacent technologies, creating and documenting detailed network drawings.
- Continually evaluate third-party vendor equipment used in our portfolio and work with vendors/contractors to ensure delivery of requirements set forth by the design.
- Support the engineering community in best practices for network designs, conducting network topology assessments and troubleshooting.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's (BS) Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
- 8+ years of experience in one of the following: Electronics Technician, System Technologist, System Manager, or Field Service Experience with one or more of the following: LMR, RF systems, Radio Communications, Radio Frequency, Wired/Wireless Communication Systems, IT Systems, or Networking equipment.
- Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract(s).
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required; employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ASTRO 25 mobile backhaul networks and adjacent technologies.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, server infrastructure, and capacity planning.
- Excellent technical leadership and communication skills.
