Position Purpose

As a Senior Product Manager - AI Data Foundation, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing our AI data foundation strategy. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to assess the criticality of knowledge sources, create a CRUD vision for knowledge management, and develop enrichment and vectorization layers with multimodal operations. Your expertise will be essential in driving innovation, optimizing our data infrastructure, and enhancing our business operations and customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning (50%)

• Develop Product Strategy: Translate business goals and end-user needs into a comprehensive product strategy, communicating direction and priorities to the development team, matrixed teams, and third-party partners.
• Product Backlog Management: Manage and groom the product backlog, making future decisions based on the value that will be delivered, and continually refining priorities based on learnings and business needs.
• Business Planning: Partner with Finance to understand financial needs and assist in creating business plans for new opportunities, ensuring alignment with business goals and leadership priorities.
• Competitive Landscape: Monitor research and the competitive landscape to recommend the best solutions and ensure that products remain or become best-in-class.

Delivery & Execution (20%)

• Product Development: Formulate, test, and refine assumptions and hypotheses through user research and testing, and document, review, and ensure that all quality and change control standards are met.
• Product Decision-Making: Make product decisions that drive value on a daily basis, identifying and considering pros, cons, issues, obstacles, dependencies, and value associated with features and enhancements.
• Stakeholder Communication: Condense complex technical concepts into non-technical language for stakeholders, and participate in standups, iteration planning sessions, product demos, and retrospectives.

People (30%)

• Collaboration: Foster collaboration with team members (Engineering, UX, etc.) to drive value and identify and resolve impediments, acting as a proponent of modern software development practices.
• Leadership: Guide more junior team members in strategy, alignment, analysis, and execution tasks, and participate in talent acquisition, development, and retention activities in support of the team.
• Stakeholder Management: Manage cross-functional team and stakeholder expectations to execute on product strategy, providing education to requestors to determine prioritization based on tangible benefits and/or user experience.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field of study.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in product management, preferably in the retail industry or a related field.
• Skills: Strong understanding of CRUD operations for knowledge management, excellent collaboration and communication skills, and ability to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: MBA or Master's degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Data Science, or AI.
• Experience: Strong background in AI, machine learning, and data science, with experience in managing and leveraging large-scale data lakes with both structured and unstructured data.
• Skills: Proficiency in GenAI technologies and frameworks, including knowledge enrichment and vectorization techniques, and experience with UX design principles and agile development methodologies.
