About the Role
The Customer Success Group (CSG) organization at Salesforce is responsible for on-boarding, product usage, standard processes, training, customer support, professional services, partner certification, and developing long-term relationships with Salesforce customers. The Customer Intelligence team in the Data and Analytics org builds innovative data products, data analysis, data engineering, deep data science & modeling, and data-driven intelligence around our customers' usage, adoption, and engagement behaviors.
We're seeking a seasoned Senior Manager, Data and Analytics Product Manager to lead the Self-Service Experiences team in the Success Pillar of the Data and Analytics organization. As a Senior Manager, Data and Analytics Product Manager, you will own the strategy and roadmap for providing the data and insights needed to advise key decisions and improve business processes. You'll work cross-functionally with numerous business teams on projects that cover a broad array of data domains and technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the product strategy and roadmap for self-service experiences, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
- Manage collaborator relationships and the backlog and prioritization of their requests, ensuring timely product delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Lead sprint planning, user story creation, and recurring standups to ensure efficient project execution.
- Partner with Salesforce product specialists to document and evaluate required data and information, capturing technical requirements for data capture and collaborating with data engineers and data scientists.
- Act as the liaison between product teams, data teams, internal development teams, and business collaborators, ensuring seamless communication and effective solution delivery.
- Mentor and collaborate with team members to grow Salesforce's internal domain and data knowledge, promoting a culture of innovation and expertise.
- Establish processes to test and validate data, ensuring high data integrity and quality.
- Lead requirements gathering sessions and maintain business and technical requirements documents for analytics projects.
- Analyze the impact of your work on how Salesforce enables internal stakeholders to drive and scale customer success, identifying opportunities for process improvements.
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in a combination of data engineering, data analysis, product analytics, or an equivalent role.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, with at least 3 years of experience, as well as experience implementing, instructing, and modifying Agile practices.
- Expert-level skills in SQL and other distributed data tools (Snowflake, Spark, Hive, Pig, MapReduce).
- Experience with BI tools like Tableau, Qlik, Domo, Einstein Analytics, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into relevant business insights.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work with executives and technologists.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies, experiment with products, and contribute cross-functionally.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Splunk, Python/R, and other BI tools.
- Sophisticated Salesforce product knowledge or certification.
- Experience with master data management, data integration, data governance, data analysis, or data quality to support cross-functional business teams.
