About the Opportunity

As our Senior Concept Artist, you'll have the freedom to create, ship, and help run a game without the constraints of monetization, allowing you to focus on what matters most - delivering high-quality art that elevates the gaming experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Artistic Leadership: Take ownership of delivering high-quality, distinctive, and stylish environments that set the tone for our game's visual identity.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our Art Director and Lead Concept Artist to drive the art style and evolve the project's vision, ensuring a cohesive and compelling visual narrative.
- Creative Vision: Collaborate with the art team to implement and maintain the creative vision for the game, developing a world worthy of a Netflix film/TV series.
- Concept Art: Design characters, props, production callouts, system interactions, high-vision concept art, color scripts, marketing materials, and other visual guides to assist the development team.
- Partnerships: Develop and maintain strong creative and collaborative partnerships across subject areas to further develop the game and push the boundaries of innovation.
- Innovation: Proactively contribute to driving the department and studio to the forefront of pioneering Games development, staying ahead of industry trends and best practices.
The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for a seasoned Senior Concept Artist with a minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years in a senior artist role. You should have a strong background in:
- Artistic Excellence: Excellent understanding of art pipelines, dependencies, and overall project scope, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality art.
- Leadership: Strong communication skills and the ability to lead and mentor junior artists, fostering a collaborative and creative team environment.
- Concept Art: Experience designing detailed, modern, and forward-looking characters, with the ability to storyboard and help conceptualize character movement and VFX.
- Artistic Versatility: Ability to design for a range of art directions, from photo-realistic to stylized, with a strong foundation in composition, design, color theory, and human and animal anatomy.
- Creative Problem-Solving: Strong ideation, brainstorming, and documentation skills, with the ability to find creative solutions for technically challenging tasks.
Additional and Bonus Skills
To take your application to the next level, you'll also need:
- Technical Skills: Experience with Zbrush, Maya, and Epic's Unreal Engine, with a strong understanding of VFX concept art and its applications.
- Gaming Passion: A genuine passion for gaming and a deep understanding of world-building, with a portfolio that showcases your range and versatility in 2D and 3D concepts.
- Collaboration: Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with external outsource vendors and internal teams.
What We Offer
Our compensation structure is designed to reward your talent and dedication. You'll receive:
- Competitive Salary: A salary ranging from $90,000 to $600,000 per year, depending on your experience and qualifications.
