Senior 3D Environment Artist

We’re looking for a 3D Environment Artist for contract cooperation to join our AAA project (semi-realism) - someone who can turn approved concepts into stunning, game-ready characters, push their quality to the next level in 3D, and support the team with both artistic vision and technical expertise! Responsibilities - Create props and modular environment kits (architecture) for level art needs; - Ensure assets follow visual direction, scale, and performance budgets; - Collaborate with level artists to ensure kits are efficient and reusable; - Maintain consistency across materials and detail levels; - Interpret concept art and asset briefs into 3D environment assets; - Create props and modular kits in Blender; - Import and set up kits and assets in the game engine; - Set up stylized, semi-procedural materials; - Optimize and polish tasks for existing assets; - Communicate with art and design teams for visual alignment and feedback. Qualifications - Solid knowledge of modeling and texturing software (e.g., Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, Substance Painter). Experience with Blender is preferred; - Understanding of stylization principles in game art; - Ability to create high-quality, optimized assets for real-time environments; - Understanding of modular environment design principles; - Experience with a modern game engine (Unreal, Unity, CryEngine, Lumberyard etc); - Ability to communicate with people of different culture background; - Ability to digest the feedback and find most important points; - Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines; - Open-mindedness and willingness to learn new tools and workflows; - Proactive and problem-solving oriented mindset; - Good English (at least B1 - spoken and written) for day-to-day team/customer communication.
