MOTION GRAPHICS ANIMATOR (Agency or Freelancer)
Overview
SBA is an emerging art brand launching a high-impact, immersive Out-of-Home (OOH) campaign in New York, running through October 2026. We are seeking an experienced motion graphics animator (agency or individual) to serve as a creative partner in bringing the SBA brand to life through dynamic animation, video assets, and visual storytelling.
This engagement will be contract-based, with scope and pricing to be proposed by the animator or studio.
Objectives
Translate the SBA brand into compelling animated visual narratives
Create motion assets that amplify our New York OOH, social, and PR efforts
Develop visually distinctive content that builds excitement and recognition
Establish a scalable motion system that can evolve throughout the campaign lifecycle
Scope of Services
Creative Direction & Strategy
Collaborate on a motion graphics approach aligned with the SBA brand and OOH campaign
Interpret brand guidelines, artwork, and concepts into animated formats
Provide creative input on animation style, pacing, and visual language
Support concept development for campaign moments and launches
Motion Graphics & Animation Production
Design and animate short- and mid-form motion assets (e.g., social, digital OOH, web, press)
Animate existing SBA artwork, illustrations, and graphic elements
Create net-new motion graphics where needed to support storytelling
Deliver animations optimized for multiple platforms and formats
Campaign & Platform Integration
Adapt animations for social media, website, digital placements, and presentations
Support motion needs tied to PR moments, activations, and events
Ensure consistency across formats while tailoring for platform-specific use
Collaboration
Partner closely with SBA’s creative, marketing, and publicity teams
Coordinate timelines and deliverables around campaign milestones
Incorporate feedback efficiently while maintaining creative integrity
Asset Management & Delivery
Deliver final files in required formats and resolutions
Provide organized source files and handoff documentation as needed
Maintain version control across campaign phases
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in motion graphics animation for brands or campaigns
Strong portfolio showcasing animation and visual storytelling
Experience supporting campaigns integrated with OOH, PR, or experiential marketing
Ability to work from brand assets while elevating them through motion
Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills
Technical Skills
Required: Design fluency in Adobe Creative Suite, and a mastery of specific preferred motion graphics and post-production tools
Nice to have: Experience with Affinity, Cinema 4D, Blender, TouchDesigner, Unreal Engine, or other 3D, generative, or other motion tools
