[Remote] Strategy Planning Principal

Federal Express Corporation is a leading logistics and delivery services company, and they are seeking a Strategy Planning Principal to provide leadership in developing the organization's strategic plans. The role involves conducting analyses, coordinating business unit inputs, and making strategic recommendations to support the organization’s growth objectives. Responsibilities • Conducts environmental scans, organizational positioning, analysis and other studies • Develops concepts into strategies including quantitative analysis and recommendations; screens plans for strategic fit, feasibility and profitability, prior to presentation to senior management • Coordinates input from all major business units to facilitate the integration of individual business unit plans, best practices, and global and multi-discipline perspectives • Conducts external research and quantitative analysis as required. Identifies, researches, analyzes, and makes recommendations to support the organization’s growth objectives • Perform other duties as assigned • Data-Driven Decisions: Use data and analytics to inform strategic project decisions and ensure alignment with business objectives • Scenario Planning: Develop and evaluate different project scenarios to anticipate potential challenges and opportunities • Innovation: Encourage innovative thinking and problem-solving within the project team to overcome obstacles and enhance project outcomes • Change Control: Implement change management processes to handle project changes systematically and minimize disruption • Impact Assessment: Assess the impact of changes on project scope, timeline, and budget, and communicate findings to stakeholders • Adaptability: Ensure the project team is adaptable and responsive to changing project requirements and external conditions • Stakeholder Identification: Identify and engage all relevant stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, vendors, and executives • Communication: Maintain transparent and effective communication with stakeholders to ensure their needs and expectations are met • Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise between stakeholders • Progress Tracking: Monitor project progress against established milestones and deliverables • Reporting: Prepare and deliver comprehensive project reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key metrics, successes, and areas for improvement • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure project deliverables meet the required standards Skills • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, business administration or related field and/or equivalent formal training or work experience • Five (5) or more years equivalent work experience in information technology or business environment including project management, quantitative analysis, forecasting, process improvement or market/competitive analysis • Demonstrated leadership ability, analytical and critical thinking ability with time management and management skills • Strong communications and human relations skills Benefits • Health, vision, and dental insurance • Retirement plans • Tuition reimbursement Company Overview • We began our company by creating the world's next big thing from the ground up - and we've never slowed down, never stopped innovating, never stopped inventing.
