United Financial Mortgage, LLC is a small but growing mortgage brokerage that has recently invested in new software and marketing campaigns. They are seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to develop client relationships, evaluate loan applications, and provide exceptional customer service throughout the loan origination process.
Responsibilities
- Contact and pitch realtors on using our company to help their clients with their mortgage needs
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand their mortgage needs and provide appropriate loan solutions
- Evaluate loan applications and determine eligibility based on creditworthiness, income, and other factors
- Guide clients through the loan application process, including gathering necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with regulations
- Collaborate with underwriters, processors, and other internal teams to assist with timely and accurate loan processing
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the loan origination process, addressing client inquiries and concerns
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and changes in lending practices
- Meet or exceed sales targets by actively promoting loan programs and services
Skills
- Strong knowledge of mortgage sales and loan processing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients
- Ability to analyze client's credit profile and make informed lending decisions
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple loan applications simultaneously
- Proficient in negotiating terms and conditions of loans within established guidelines
- Knowledge of federal regulations, including TILA (Truth in Lending Act) requirements
- Experience with Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA guidelines
- Language: English (Required)
- Familiarity with industry software such as Arive and Lender Price (not required)
- Bachelor's (Preferred)
- Mortgage Loan Officer: 1 year (Preferred)
- MLO License in the state of Virginia (Preferred)
- Day Shift (Preferred)
- Willingness to travel: 25% (Preferred)
