This role is fully remote, operating on a Monday‑Friday schedule (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) with occasional flexibility to meet client‑driven deadlines or overtime requirements.
In this position, you will serve as a critical quality gatekeeper, ensuring that every piece of provider information is accurate, compliant, and readily available for downstream analytics, billing, and reporting functions. You will work closely with senior data specialists, project managers, and client stakeholders to uphold arenaflex’s high standards of data integrity and customer service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Acquisition & Validation: Retrieve provider contract data from web‑based portals, scanned documents, PDFs, and legacy systems; perform thorough validation against source contracts, provider registries, and regulatory guidelines.
- Scrubbing & Cleansing: Conduct meticulous data scrubbing to correct typographical errors, normalize naming conventions, and standardize address formats in accordance with arenaflex’s data quality SOPs.
- System Updates: Accurately enter and update provider information within the client’s primary and secondary systems, ensuring status fields reflect real‑time contract lifecycle stages.
- Discrepancy Identification: Analyze entered data to pinpoint inconsistencies, missing fields, or potential compliance risks; flag issues for escalation to senior analysts.
- Issue Resolution: Leverage healthcare and insurance domain knowledge to troubleshoot routine and non‑routine problems, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders when necessary.
- Communication Management: Monitor a shared inbox, respond to internal and client inquiries, and document resolutions in a timely manner, maintaining professional written communication standards.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, data volumes processed, and any escalated items; provide regular status reports to project leads.
- Continuous Learning: Participate in arenaflex’s comprehensive training program, mastering Facets, AS400, Excel, and other relevant platforms while staying abreast of evolving healthcare data standards.
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of hands‑on experience with Facets (or comparable healthcare billing/claims systems).
- At least 1 year of professional office experience in data entry, clerical support, or customer service roles that required consistent shift schedules.
- Proficiency with Windows‑based applications, including robust keyboard navigation, multi‑screen workflows, and rapid adoption of new software tools.
- High school diploma or GED required; post‑secondary education in health information management, business administration, or a related field is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain high accuracy rates (≥ 98 %) while processing large volumes of data.
Preferred Skills & Attributes
- Strong oral and written communication skills tailored to a professional, remote environment.
- Effective troubleshooting aptitude, capable of leveraging research, analytical, and problem‑solving techniques.
- Time‑management expertise that thrives in a dynamic, changing workload landscape.
- Working knowledge of AS400, Excel spreadsheets, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Experience with healthcare provider credentialing, contract management, or insurance data processing.
- Successful completion of arenaflex’s onboarding training and demonstration of proficiency in all assigned tools.
Core Competencies for Success
- Attention to Detail: Ability to spot even the smallest data anomalies and correct them before they affect downstream processes.
- Analytical Thinking: Skill in interpreting contract language, regulatory requirements, and system fields to ensure comprehensive data capture.
- Adaptability: Comfort with shifting priorities, evolving client needs, and occasional overtime to meet service‑level agreements.
- Collaboration: Proactive engagement with cross‑functional teams, sharing insights that improve data pipelines and workflow efficiency.
- Integrity & Confidentiality: Commitment to safeguarding protected health information (PHI) in compliance with HIPAA and other privacy regulations.
