Job Summary
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Remote Data Entry and Reconciliation Specialist for Financial Investments. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing daily reconciliation, trade, and transfer activities for various investments, processing exchange buy and sell transactions, and identifying and addressing breaks between TD Ameritrade and fund companies or transfer agents.
Key Responsibilities
- Process exchange buy and sell transactions in customer profiles, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
- Identify and address breaks between TD Ameritrade and fund companies or transfer agents, resolving discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner
- Handle Corporate Activity Events, settling and reconciling transfer activity, and processing and reconciling returns activity
- Conduct research on complex and escalated issues, performing testing and validation of new technology enhancements and company changes
- Complete projects in Investing, Dividends, Transfers, Reconciliation, and Corporate Actions that directly impact Client/Advisor accounts
- Communicate effectively with Retail and Institutional Business Teams through email, phone, Slack, Outlook, and Salesforce
- Collaborate with TD Ameritrade Clearing in daily interactions with fund companies, transfer brokers, contra firms, and other external business partners
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in data entry, reconciliation, or a related field, preferably in the financial industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and ability to learn new software and systems quickly
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset:
- Experience with TD Ameritrade systems and software
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements, such as 2340 and 15C3-3
- Experience with Salesforce and other CRM systems
- Certification in a related field, such as financial planning or accounting
