They are seeking a Project Finance Analyst or Senior Project Finance Analyst to focus on financial modeling, data analysis, and due diligence support for mergers, acquisitions, and project financing transactions.
Responsibilities
- Supports cross-functional transaction teams (Development, Finance, Legal, Engineering, Procurement) to ensure efficient and timely execution of M&A and project finance transactions
- Assists in structuring term sheets and supporting MIPA/PSA negotiations, as well as financing agreements
- Assists the entire due diligence process for potential project finance transactions, covering financial, developmental and operational, legal, technological, and other relevant areas
- Supports financial modeling, valuation, due diligence, and risk analysis for Project Finance transactions
- Assists in structuring, negotiating, and executing debt and tax equity financing arrangements with lenders and investors, supporting credit approvals and closing processes
- Identifies and researches project finance opportunities across solar, wind, and storage
- Monitors industry trends, regulatory developments, and Project Financing activity to inform strategic positioning and provide insights to internal stakeholders
- Assists Project finance memos and executive presentations to obtain approvals from internal Investment Committees and Executive leadership
- Supports handover of Project Financed projects or portfolios to internal teams, including knowledge transfer, commercial obligations, and documentation
- Helps optimize M&A and Project Finance tracking systems, templates, dashboards, and databases to increase team efficiency and transparency
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or similar
- 1 year of professional industry experience
- Strong quantitative and research background
- Advanced Excel user
- Excellent communications skills
- Demonstrated capacity for analytical thinking and presentation development
- Ability to work well independently and build relationships with other departments and segments to accomplish objectives
- Highly motivated self-starter with a proactive approach
- Proficiency in PowerPoint
- Effective time management skills
- 4 years of professional industry experience for Senior Project Finance Analyst
- Min. 1 year of experience preferred in renewable energy, energy infrastructure, or transaction/finance for Senior Project Finance Analyst
- Knowledge of debt structures, tax benefit monetization and partnership taxation for Senior Project Finance Analyst
- Strong quantitative and research background for Senior Project Finance Analyst
- Advanced Excel user for Senior Project Finance Analyst
- Excellent communications skills for Senior Project Finance Analyst
- Experience in Python or VBA for Senior Project Finance Analyst
- Experience in EIA, ABB, Ventyx, SNL, SEIA / AWEA databases for Senior Project Finance Analyst
- Experience in presentation software such as Tableau and dashboard development for Senior Project Finance Analyst
- Demonstrated capacity for analytical thinking and presentation development for Senior Project Finance Analyst
- Ability to work well independently and build relationships with other departments and segments to accomplish objectives for Senior Project Finance Analyst

- Master's degree
