Position: Mergers & Acquisitions Consultant / Business Broker
Overview
Transworld Business Advisors is looking to add to our talented team of business brokers. Work is hybrid - team members work from home, in our office, and at client sites. Our management team and advisors include Big Four Valuation experts, private equity, and serial entrepreneurs with multiple exits including building an unicorn startup. Our business brokers / consultants will have the opportunity to work with and learn from these experts.
Transworld is the world’s largest business brokerage with over 300 locations in more than 15 countries. We are seeking individuals with business acumen and a passion to help others. The 3 main revenue streams are business brokerage (including mergers & acquisitions and investment visas), franchise consulting, and franchise development. Most businesses we help sell are under $20M in valuation, but we also support businesses up to $100M in valuation.
Franchise consulting is when we help someone buy a franchise - we represent over 600 brands. Franchise development is when our corporate consulting group helps a business become a franchise.
Responsibilities
The Business Broker role acts as the intermediary during either the sale or purchase of a business, managing the entire deal process, and all parties involved. Our office, in particular, focuses on the main street to the lower middle market (usually between $500K to $50M in valuation), helping multiple businesses through these transactions each year. As our team grows in size and depth, we need additional business-savvy professionals to continue our mission of supporting small businesses.
Qualifications

• Experience in consulting, finance, sales or operations
• 5 to 25+ years of work experience
• A hunter mentality
• Passion for people and building professional relationships
• Passion to work in the small business community
• A grasp of business financials and the ability to analyze financial statements or the ability to quickly learn

As a Business Broker, you will manage business brokerage activities, including valuations and sales. Your day-to-day tasks will involve identifying potential buyers and sellers, conducting business valuations, preparing marketing materials, negotiating deals, and facilitating transactions. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and help them achieve their business goals.
Compensation
This is a full-time role offering an opportunity to earn a six to seven-figure commission income with no cap (commission-only).
