S&S Activewear is a leading North American distributor of imprintable apparel, and they are seeking a Part-Time Merchandise Coordinator to assist with sample and vendor management. The role involves managing the flow of product samples, supporting the merchandising team, and facilitating communication across various departments.
Responsibilities
- Maintain an accurate representation of all vendor samples used for internal meetings. Pull samples as needed for various business needs
- Maintain an organized, up‑to‑date sample room and archive. Ensure samples are properly labeled, stored, and routed after use
- Manage the creation and maintenance of weekly and seasonal business reports to identify opportunities, provide recommendations and work in partnership with merchandising team
- Supporting Maintenance of various documents related to Product Lifecycle, Marketing Strategies and Supply Chain Management
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Product Management, Marketing, and Sales
- Coordinate with vendors on various sample needs, Product Database Descriptors and other additional documents needed
- In collaboration with the merchandising team, review vendor performance and provide feedback to ensure expectations are being met
- Help Manage seasonal vendor meeting process, which includes meeting scheduling, preparing all meeting materials, vendor recaps for teams and any additional requests needed from Merchandising teams
Skills
- Must have a bachelor's degree or be working toward one in business, marketing, merchandising or related field
- Must in-person at Bolingbrook, IL
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and manage shifting priorities in a fast paced environment
- Effective communication skills and comfort working with cross functional partners
- Must be interested in merchandising and understand common product related terms
- Strong proficiencies in Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint required
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can work autonomously and is highly accountable
- Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to interact with external teams
- Experience in retail/wholesale or B2B is a plus
- Apparel and Accessories experience is a plus
- Experience with Project Management systems like AirTable and Asana is a plus
