Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Transcriptionist with at least 10 years of specialized expertise in Forensic Pathology and Coroner work. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, combined with exceptional transcription skills. This role involves transcribing complex forensic reports, autopsy findings, and coroner documentation with accuracy and professionalism. Responsibilities • Transcribe detailed forensic pathology reports, autopsy notes, and coroner documentation accurately and efficiently. • Review audio recordings from forensic investigations to ensure clarity and completeness of transcriptions. • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information related to forensic cases and autopsies. • Collaborate with forensic pathologists, medical examiners, and other professionals to clarify terminology or details as needed. • Ensure all transcriptions adhere to legal standards, medical guidelines, and organizational protocols. • Manage workflow effectively to meet deadlines without compromising accuracy or quality. • Utilize specialized transcription software and tools to enhance productivity and precision in documentation. Requirements • Proven experience in forensic pathology transcription. • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and forensic science terminology. • Excellent typing skills with high accuracy and speed; proficiency in transcription software is preferred. • Prior experience working in a medical office environment or similar setting is advantageous. • Ability to interpret complex audio recordings accurately and transcribe detailed technical content. • Familiarity with legal considerations surrounding forensic documentation and confidentiality standards. • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
