About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Manager, UX Content Design to lead our team of content designers in creating intuitive and user-friendly experiences. As a manager, you'll play a critical role in shaping the content design strategy, fostering a culture of innovation, and driving business outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of content designers to distill complex product goals into simple and intuitive experiences
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to prioritize initiatives with a solid focus on outcomes
- Drive content recommendations that optimize a simplified, tailored user experience
- Build collaborative relationships across disciplines, including Engineering, Product, Design, Research, Marketing, and Data Science
- Align with product and UX leadership across the organization to help inform future roadmaps and turn vision into reality
- Establish and communicate content best practices, ensure compliance with guidelines, and oversee the creation of information architecture frameworks, content models, content audits, etc.
- Help define and evangelize the role of UX Content Design at Indeed and in the broader community of design professionals
Essential Qualifications:
- 7+ years of professional experience working in product user experience, with a focus on content strategy, content design, UX writing, UX design, or similar experience
- 2+ years of managing local and remote teams
- Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, facilitating, and executive communication skills
- Proven ability to steer major UX projects, from design strategy through execution, with measurable business impact
- Experience creating content models, wireframes, information architecture maps, guidelines, and other content frameworks
- Proven analytical, project management, and decision-making skills
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment
- Familiarity with design systems and content design tools
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Knowledge of accessibility guidelines and inclusive design principles

- Competitive salary range: $140,000 - $241,000 USD per year, depending on location and experience
