About the Role

We are looking for a Procurement leader to help build Ramp’s Procurement team and strategy from the ground up. As our first Procurement hire, you will be responsible for designing and executing all aspects of our internal Procurement strategy. In addition, you will provide critical feedback to our Product team as we build our own Procurement software product. This is a unique opportunity to not only build a Procurement function from zero to one, but also to shape the direction of our Procurement software roadmap.

Tactically, you will be responsible for managing/optimizing our procurement intake and approval process, negotiating contracts with vendors, and managing renewals and vendor relationships. At a higher level, you will be responsible for defining how we do Procurement internally, communicating that to the rest of the organization, influencing our product development, and eventually building out the Procurement team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, excellent leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail. This position will require someone who is both able to roll up their sleeves and manage the day-to-day, as well as think big picture and help Ramp’s Procurement function and product scale.
