**Overview:** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Continuous Improvement - Start-ups Team (Remote) to support Ryder's Continuous Improvement culture across the Business Unit/Vertical. The successful candidate will actively promote and facilitate the use of continuous improvement methods to support new and existing operations, and manage the CI resources across multiple operations to influence, drive, and manage change through data-driven CI, engineering, and automation efforts. **Responsibilities:**
• Supervise a team of continuous improvement engineering and quality professionals, lead employment decisions, and manage performance
• Lead the development and execution of strategy, scorecarding, and key performance indicator action plans
• Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to employees on Ryder Business System concepts and tools for sustainable business improvements
• Develop advanced competency in a wide range of engineering methods, data analysis, Lean tools, and quality standards, and coach employees in their use
• Facilitate and execute Value Stream Maps & Kaizen Events through all stages (A3 charter creation, pre-work identification and completion, delivery of results, regular follow-up and follow-through on sustainment)
• Manage, track, and report the progress and value of transformational activities and projects across customer accounts
• *Qualifications:**
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management; Master's degree preferred
• Nine (9) years or more in the Distribution, Warehousing and/or Manufacturing, Transportation, Supply Chain Logistics industry
• Expertise in developing and managing: Leader Standard Work, Visual Management Systems and Management Accountability Systems, Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA), Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, 5S/Workplace Organization
• Understanding and experience in core engineering and data analysis functions, warehouse design tools, and Lean methods
• Knowledge of Warehouse Management operations, data analytics, Industrial Engineering, warehouse types, and Lean methods
• Lean Six Sigma certification required; other certifications preferred
