Job Summary: The Long-Term Substitute Teacher will be responsible for delivering lesson plans, maintaining a safe and respectful classroom environment, and ensuring the well-being of all students. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to adapt to individual learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver lesson plans as instructed by the regular classroom teacher and/or school administrators
• Maintain a safe and respectful classroom environment, ensuring the well-being of all students
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, administration, and others
• Maintain order and discipline in the classroom, conducive to effective learning
• Adapt to individual learning needs, providing individual and small group instruction
• Participate in professional development sessions to enhance teaching skills

Requirements:

• Experience working with students (preferred)
• Detail-oriented and able to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret lesson plans, technical procedures, and textbooks
• Experience with technology equipment
• Hold a Professional Educator License (PEL) or Substitute License (SUB) through the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
