Taylor Farms Texas Job Description/Role/Responsibilities Logistics Coordinator Supervisor 1.0 Job Duties and Responsibilities Summary of Responsibilities: · Monitor and maintain proper rotation of raw product, finished goods, and placement of aged product. · Complete and analyze departmental performance measurements. Lead, coordinate and direct the daily activities of shift personnel engaged in the shipping and receiving of both raw product and finished goods. · Complete and analyze departmental performance measurements. Lead, coordinate and direct our dispatch and distribution team to make sure orders are being filled, loaded and delivered timely. · Maintain a safe work environment by training personnel on safety issues, conducting safety circles, completing safety accident and/or incident reports, and recognizing and correcting unsafe conditions or acts. · Maintain equipment viability and communicate with appropriate vendors for parts/repair. · Effectively communicate with Production, QA, Scheduling, Purchasing and Transportation. · Address performance issues in a timely manner using consistent and company backed disciplinary methodology. · Provide training to warehouse associates in areas such as SOPs, job specific procedures, and filling out required documentation correctly. · Responsible for the interviewing and screening of potential warehouse associates in terms of experience and aptitude with operations required power equipment. · Perform other duties as required or assigned. 2.0 Education/Experience Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Operations, or Logistics · Must have 3 to 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience 3.0 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities · Language Skills Excellent communication skills-written, verbal and interpersonal; strong mathematical/analytical acumen · Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, and decimals. · Skills Must be able to prioritize with a can-do attitude to work in a fast-paced environment that is evolving and growing · Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions finished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. 4.0 Physical Requirements · While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk and sit. · The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. · Must be able to pass all pre-employment screens (including drug, background and criminal checks). 5.0 Equipment/Software Used · Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint · Axapta, Ignition, Power BI knowledge preferred 6.0 Work Environment · Full time position · Must be willing to work in refrigerated warehouse environment Cold/Wet 38°F · Must be able to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends as scheduled or needed. · Must be able to be on your feet for long periods of time. · Must work in a professional and courteous manor with subordinates and peers. · Open to work in a diverse work environment · Must be willing to work any shift as needed. · On call duty is required · Travel requirements may vary and subject to change.
