About the position
As a Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness Consultant, this role will partner with leaders throughout the organization to strengthen our values-based culture, boost employee engagement, and enhance the change experience for all employees . This role will help lead Ameren's culture change initiative, integrating it seamlessly with our strategy, leadership development, and talent processes. Additionally, this position will support change management across key initiatives – including consulting on change strategy, assessing readiness and impact , and measuring overall effectiveness to enhance performance. This dual-focused position requires strategic thinking and practical expertise to navigate complex enterprise-level change while building a healthy, high-performing organizational culture.
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain enterprise-level culture change roadmap including implementation schedule, communication plan , and approach for tracking cultural health and program effectiveness .
• Design, implement and evaluate organization development (OD) interventions (e.g., workshops, experiences, tools, resources for leaders ) that reinforce desired mindsets and behaviors.
• Align culture initiatives with talent processes (e.g., performance management, onboarding, leadership development, employee listening and engagement, recognition) and key company moments (e.g., events, meetings).
• Collaborate cross-functionally with the HR team , the business (e.g., Communications, Operations, Digital), Ameren 's Senior leadership team , and with external consulting partners to ensure alignment on priorities and outcomes .
• Design and consult on enterprise change initiatives including identification of change impacts to people, process, policy, structure, and technology; develop change strategies focused on stakeholder management , communication , sustainability of change , and cultural alignment.
• Establish metrics and measurement frameworks to track change readiness, adoption rates, effectiveness, and business value realization.
• Serve as a trusted coach and advisor to leaders on change readiness, organizational health, and culture evolution.
• Manage stakeholder engagement and partner across the business (including Performance Management Office and Ameren Transformation Office) and with external consulting partners to support development of change resources and strategies.
• Develop and lead internal networks supporting culture and change across the organization.
• Design a n d deliver training and resources to build organizational and leadership change management capability and consistent utilization of change methodology and tools , including support of the Ameren Change Experts (ACE) community of practice.
• Monitor external trends and best practices in change management, culture, and organizational development, bringing innovative approaches to our work.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree , preferably in HR, Organizational Development, Psychology, Business, or related field of study .
• 5 or more years of relevant professional level experience (e.g., change management, leadership development, program design and management, or high impact organizational effectiveness consulting experience) .
• Ability to build relationships and work effectively with all levels of leadership.
• Strong communication (oral and written) and presentation skills.
• A solid understanding of business concepts with the ability to think strategically and translate into pragmatic plans to achieve results.
• Knowledge of change management practices and tools with the ability to influence significant change initiatives.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects .
• A proactive and continuous improvement mindset, including a focus on leveraging technology, automation, and analytics to facilitate strong operational performance .
