Remote Junior Web Developer Location: Remote (U.S. Only) Job Type: Full-time Job Summary: We are looking for a Junior Web Developer to assist in building and maintaining responsive, high-performance web applications. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in front-end and back-end development, a willingness to learn, and the ability to collaborate with senior developers and designers. This is a fully remote role, but applicants must be based in the U.S. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, test, and maintain web applications and websites. - Write clean, efficient, and reusable HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP/Python/Node.js code. - Collaborate with designers and senior developers to improve UI/UX. - Work with React, Vue.js, or Angular for front-end development. - Assist in building and maintaining RESTful APIs and databases. - Debug and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal website performance. - Follow best practices for responsive design and web accessibility. - Stay updated with the latest web development trends and technologies. Required Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - 1+ years of experience in web development (internships and personal projects count!). - Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a backend language (PHP, Python, or Node.js). - Familiarity with front-end frameworks (React, Vue.js, or Angular). - Basic understanding of databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB). - Experience using Git and version control systems. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with WordPress or Shopify for CMS development. - Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, or cloud platforms (AWS, Firebase, or Netlify). - Understanding of SEO principles and web performance optimization.
