Cardiac ICU Role Overview

Our Cardiac ICU Universal Bed Model offers a fast-paced environment where you'll care for high acuity patients, including those post cardiology interventional, post vascular surgical/interventional, and advanced heart failure patients. As a Cardiac ICU RN, you'll be part of a team that values learning, mentoring, and professional growth. The department boasts a highly skilled and educated team, with 90% BSN prepared nurses and 58% specialty certified, ensuring a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Cardiac ICU environment.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Participate in our telemetry to ICU training program to enhance your skills.
• Engage in our Clinical Ladder Program and Shared Governance councils to contribute to professional development and departmental decisions.
• Utilize your expertise and experience to mentor and support colleagues.
• Stay updated with the latest practices and advancements in cardiovascular care through our continuing education opportunities.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

• Be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Hold a current RN license.
• Possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or be willing to obtain it within 30 days of hire.
• Have a minimum of 1+ year of experience in Cardiovascular ICU, Cardiovascular PCU, or Telemetry.

Preferred qualifications include:

• BSN degree.
• Specialty certification in cardiovascular nursing.
• Previous experience in a Magnet recognized organization.
