**Job Responsibilities:**
As a Pharmacy Technician – Data Entry/Intake Specialist at arenaflex, your key responsibilities will include:
* Creating patient profiles and processing orders in a timely manner from electronic prescription and fax queues
* Requesting refill prescriptions as appropriate
* Managing incoming documents from the fax server
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
* Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
* Providing exceptional customer service to patients, providers, and payers
**Qualifications and Responsibilities:**
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
* Good interpersonal skills
* Excellent verbal, written, and customer service skills
* Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and be flexible
* Good organizational skills and attention to detail
* Knowledge of medical terminology, including sig codes and Roman numerals, brand and generic names of medications, and general pharmacy terminology
* Ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently when inputting information
* Licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
* Basic math and analytical skills
* Intermediate typing/keyboard skills
**Education and Experience:**
* Required: High School Diploma or GED, licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law, and previous experience in pharmacy
* Required: Pharmacy Technician: 1+ years of experience
* Desired: Pharmacy Technician: 3+ years of experience
**Skills and Knowledge:**
* Required: Pharmacy or healthcare-related knowledge, knowledge of pharmacy terminology, including sig codes and Roman numerals, brand/generic names of medication, basic math and analytical skills, and intermediate typing/keyboard skills
* Desired: Specialty pharmacy experience
**License or Certification:**
* Required: Pharmacy Technician registration/certification
* Desired: Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB)
