Key Responsibilities

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits and blithequark service traits.
• Provide customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service, including registering sales, processing transactions, and handling customer inquiries.
• Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, including using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, processing prescriptions, and maintaining accurate records.
• Maintain a clean and well-merchandised store environment, including counters, shelves, and inventory, and perform duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to blithequark policies and procedures in relation to pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program.
• Handle telephone calls, process manual claims, and perform other clerical duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.
• Assist and support the Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of pharmaceuticals.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products and maintain knowledge of store systems and equipment.

Essential Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated PTCB training program and/or state required certification/registration.
• Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager or assigned by corporate and acquire continuing education credits.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior work experience with blithequark.
• Prefer good math skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
• Prefer good computer skills and knowledge of store inventory control.
• Prefer PTCB certification.
