About the Role
As a Healthcare Call Center Representative, you'll be the face and voice of blithequark, playing a critical role in ensuring that our patients and healthcare providers receive the support they need. This remote position is ideal for customer service professionals with a background in healthcare who thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume call center environment. You'll have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are dedicated to helping you grow and succeed in your career.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling Inbound and Outbound Calls: Manage a high volume of calls, providing assistance with appointment scheduling, account status inquiries, and patient outreach.
- Electronic Communication: Route incoming calls from patients, physicians, and other departments following established guidelines and protocols.
- Appointment Management: Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments according to set scripts and protocols, ensuring seamless patient care.
- General Services: Provide facility directions, handle departmental mail, and offer information on additional services such as Membership Services and Pharmacy.
- Insurance and Demographics: Verify insurance eligibility, update demographic information, and manage provider selections and special needs.
- Referrals and Specialty Care: Coordinate referrals, track specialty care processes, and ensure efficient patient care.
- Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records and generate reports as needed using various computer programs.
- Delivering Exceptional Service: Utilize critical thinking and communication skills to resolve issues and deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring a positive experience for patients and healthcare providers.
Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a call center or customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Proficient in multitasking and using multiple computer screens simultaneously.
- Experience with HealthConnect is a plus, but not required.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to resolve issues and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Excellent attendance, especially during the first 90 days, is essential.

Work Schedule and Team Options
We offer two team options, each with its own unique schedule:
- Primary Care Team: Shifts between 5 am - 8 pm, Sunday to Saturday (availability for weekends required).
- Specialty Care Dermatology Team: Shifts between 7:45 am - 5:15 pm, Monday to Friday (no weekend work).
