Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team of innovators and problem-solvers. As a key member of our Engineering Group within the Operations Division, you'll play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining our web and cloud-based applications. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct training sessions for Specialists in areas of expertise
- Act as a mentor to other Engineers
- Lead project teams or facilitate issue resolution
- Collaborate with vendors and regulatory specialists to ensure compliance with material regulations and company policies
- Develop customized methods and special procedures for repairs, modifications, inspections, adjustments, and other maintenance activities not covered in existing manuals
- Stay informed about daily airline operations, including areas of responsibility
- Review daily needs based on airline/departmental targets and management mandates
- Analyze aircraft/part issues that may cause flight delays or cancellations, significant uses in labor or materials, or breaks in maintenance activities, and determine appropriate corrective actions
- Provide engineering support as needed to restore aircraft or parts to a serviceable status
- Respond to requests from Maintenance and other airline divisions when technical assistance is required to support tasks or resolve issues
- Develop activity plans for fleet/multi-fleet and part engineering projects and pursue completion as per evaluated needs
- Collaborate with other airline divisions as needed to ensure effective and efficient execution of engineering practices
- Develop engineering documents to implement technical practices by providing customized methods for repairs, modifications, inspections, or other maintenance activities that provide benefits in accordance with airline/departmental targets and management mandates
- Stay up-to-date on current and future regulations that affect areas of responsibility and ensure that all engineering activities maintain compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
- Utilize available resources to enhance levels of technical expertise and practical experience continuously
- Improve communication skills, utilizing time effectively, and other individual characteristics relevant to maximum effectiveness and efficiency in performing assigned duties
- Effectively interact with senior colleagues and management
Requirements for Success
To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 1 year of experience in a related field or 2 years of experience without a degree
- A&P license
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant tools
- Ability to analyze technical information and make data-driven decisions
- Ability to prepare and deliver presentations that promote awareness of solutions
- Ability to interact effectively with internal and external clients
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Experience with cloud-based applications and web development
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies and version control systems
- Experience with DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
