**Job Summary**
As a Software Development Team Lead, you'll be responsible for driving the roadmap for a subsystem of our core product, working closely with a small team of 3-4 engineers. You'll develop part of the roadmap yourself, while mentoring the team to do the rest, developing their careers and your own. You'll gain subject matter expertise in business intelligence, large language models, and our tech stack, and represent your area of responsibility to the organization, coordinating delivery alongside the work of other teams.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Develop and drive the roadmap for a subsystem of our core product, working closely with a small team of 3-4 engineers
* Mentor and develop the careers of team members, while contributing to team productivity as an individual contributor
* Collaborate with product and business owners on requirements, training, testing, and release of new software
* Own and drive commitments, balancing work between team members, negotiating scope changes, and ensuring solutions exceed standards for quality, architectural integrity, performance, scalability, security, and availability
* Explore new technologies, frameworks, and tools that should be considered by the organization proactively
* Strategize the right business move, ensuring that all projects get delivered relative to the business' goals
**Requirements**
* 2+ years of experience leading teams of 3+ software engineers in a professional setting
* Must meet all the requirements of a top-tier individual contributor software engineer with at least 3-5+ years of experience
* Experience working in LLM, GPT, or Prompt Engineering
* Experience recruiting and mentoring team members, reviewing pull requests, challenging requirements, and driving closure on timelines
* Experience with multiple tech stacks, databases, and processes, including proficiency in one or more areas such as Typescript and/or Node.js, Java, Kotlin, Python, and SQL
* Experience working with testing frameworks, Jenkins, and Git
