Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Engineer to join our team and help us design, build, and maintain cloud-based information design and curation solutions. As a key member of our data engineering team, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement scalable, secure, and efficient data pipelines that drive business insights and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
As a Full Stack Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for:
- Designing and implementing data pipelines that integrate with various data sources, including cloud-based storage systems, APIs, and messaging queues
- Developing and maintaining scalable, secure, and efficient data processing systems using cloud-based technologies such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
- Collaborating with data scientists and analysts to develop and implement data models, data visualizations, and reporting tools
- Ensuring data quality, integrity, and security through data validation, data profiling, and data governance
- Providing technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and data analysts
- Participating in code reviews, testing, and deployment of data engineering solutions
- Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in data engineering and cloud computing
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in data engineering, software development, or a related field
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or Scala
- Experience with cloud-based technologies such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
- Knowledge of data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Flink
- Experience with data storage systems such as relational databases, NoSQL databases, or data warehouses
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data governance, and data security
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications would be a plus:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Flink
- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Azure Synapse Analytics
