**Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Data Analyst Intern to join our Quality Control Standards and Analytics team. As a Data Analyst Intern, you will play a critical role in driving a culture of safety, efficiency, and innovation by identifying statistical patterns and performance metrics to improve the Quality Control division. You will assist in using data to create, present, and make recommendations for groundbreaking ideas and projects, as well as perform basic analysis to mitigate the risk of resistance through process improvements. These improvements will support company objectives, including maintaining low costs, modernizing the operation, and improving compliance, thereby giving arenaflex a competitive edge.
**Responsibilities and Expectations**
The responsibilities and expectations of the Data Analyst Intern may include, but are not limited to:
* Perform and assist others in the Quality Control team in ideal data collection, validation, and root cause analysis on data components.
* Assist in creating and presenting results from complex data and analysis for both technical and non-technical clients and leaders.
* Assist in exploring ad-hoc requests resulting from emerging maintenance issues and provide logical answers to enable Senior Leadership to make business decisions while adjusting existing project responsibilities.
* Present insights, patterns, and potential recommendations by using data visualization tools supporting the relevant marks of the investigation to ease partner understanding.
* Assist in creating and disseminating specific queries to pull and coordinate data from various sources, establishing the rhythm, and approving the need of the data requirements.
* Identify irregularities in processes through reviews/audits and convey findings to the team.
* Assess the effectiveness of processes and methods by observing for patterns and errors
* Ensure that a compliance mindset is at the forefront of every decision
* May perform other work responsibilities as directed by Group Leader.
**Requirements, Skills, and Competencies**
* Ability to collect, organize, and analyze large amounts of data with care and accuracy.
* Ability to effectively listen, understand, and communicate ideas and present them in writing, verbally, or presentations delivered to discussions of varying audiences.
* Ability to evaluate business issues, identify valuable opportunities for data needs, and interpret resulting metrics.
* Should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
* Knowledge of data visualization tools and capabilities, such as Tableau, Alteryx, and QuickBase, is preferred.
* Ability to grasp the issue, summarize, and perform root cause analysis on data, and provide recommendations using logic and reasoning.
* Ability to use PowerPoint to build presentations for verbal communications is preferred
* Past internship, capstone projects, and research coursework is preferred
* Ability to work independently in a team-oriented, help/group-focused environment
* Ability to focus on responsibilities independently and be a self-motivated individual.
* Past internship experience in a related field is preferred
* Ability to manage sensitive and confidential data appropriately.
* Ability to plan and support large business initiatives.
