**Job Overview**
As a Ramp and Customer Service Agent at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for a range of tasks that include customer interactions and ramp operations. You'll work outside in various weather conditions while performing below-wing tasks, such as transporting luggage and freight, stacking and offloading equipment and cargo, and marshaling aircraft. You'll also perform pre-flight preparations and security checks, assist with boarding and door operations, and process and secure customer baggage.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Provide exceptional customer service, responding to queries, resolving issues, and ensuring a smooth travel experience
* Work outside in various weather conditions while performing below-wing tasks, including transporting luggage and freight, stacking and offloading equipment and cargo, and marshaling aircraft
* Perform pre-flight preparations and security checks, including inspecting aircraft and ensuring compliance with safety regulations
* Assist with boarding and door operations, including helping and coordinating passengers, making announcements, and processing boarding passes and baggage claims
* Process and secure customer baggage, including handling damaged, delayed, or lost luggage
* Stack and offload baggage and freight using conveyor belts
* Perform other duties as assigned, including working in a variety of roles to ensure customer satisfaction
* Maintain accurate records and reports, including baggage claims and handling issues
**Work-Specific Experience, Education, and Skills**
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
* Valid driver's license
* Ability to learn and work with modernized reservation systems
* Typing speed of at least 25 WPM
* Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly
* Ability to stand for extended periods
* Ability to twist, stoop, squat, reach, and handle objects
* Basic math skills
* Ability to work an adaptable schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
* Ability to participate in paid training that may require temporary travel
* Depending on the work location, ability to obtain USPS Mail Handling Certification
* Ability to acquire airport security status
* Ability to communicate in English
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Minimum age of 18
* Ability to work in the United States
**Preferred Qualifications**
* At least 1 year of customer service or community service experience
