Scope of the Role
As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional service to policyholders who are reporting losses or damages covered by their UAIC policies. This role offers a remote work arrangement, allowing you to work from your preferred location within the Southeast region. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the first point of contact for policyholders reporting losses or damages
- Gathering relevant information, such as policy details, incident specifics, and contact information
- Clarifying coverage terms as needed
- Offering clear and empathetic guidance to policyholders on next steps in the claims process
- Explaining the required documentation and information needed to process the claim
- Accurately recording all information gathered during the FNOL process in the company's claims management system
- Ensuring completeness and accuracy of claim reports
- Liaising with claims adjusters and inspectors to schedule assessments and inspections, if necessary
- Providing adjusters with detailed information regarding the reported loss
- Addressing any concerns or questions the policyholder may have
- Ensuring all FNOL processes adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements
- Providing feedback to management on ways to improve the FNOL process for enhanced customer satisfaction and efficiency
Qualifications and Requirements
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree is a plus)
- Bilingual (English & Spanish)
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar customer service role, preferably in the property and casualty insurance industry
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Knowledge of property and casualty insurance policies, coverage, and claims processed is a plus
