About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Front End Engineer to join our Prime Video team, working on virtual opportunities (L5). As a Front End Engineer, you will play a critical role in defining the next generation of what Amazon customers are watching. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain high-quality front-end applications using cutting-edge technologies, ensuring seamless user experiences and exceptional performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality front-end applications using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other relevant technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Principal and senior engineers, to build high-speed data delivery systems and create simple solutions for complex media ingestion and publishing processes.
- Develop and maintain scalable, reliable, and maintainable code, ensuring high performance and exceptional user experiences.
- Participate in agile software development methodologies, working closely with the team to deliver high-quality features and meet business requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest front-end technologies and trends, applying your knowledge to drive innovation and excellence in your work.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including engineers, product managers, and customers, to ensure seamless collaboration and exceptional outcomes.
Essential Qualifications
- 2+ years of non-internship professional front-end, web, or mobile software development experience using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- 1+ years of computer science fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React.
- Strong understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node.
- 1+ years of agile software development methodology experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with C++/Java, Python, and/or SQL.
- Experience with ElasticSearch, AWS services, including Dynamo, SQS, and Athena.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to find creative and scalable solutions to complex problems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with cloud-based technologies, including AWS.
