I am looking for an experienced developer with a strong background in algorithmic trading and blockchain integration to build a trading system for Polymarket.
Project Goal:
I want to replicate a high-frequency trading strategy that capitalizes on short-term price movements in crypto-related markets (e.g., "Ethereum Up or Down in the next hour"). The goal is to execute a high volume of small, profitable trades based on market inefficiencies or lag between crypto exchange prices and Polymarket odds.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze the Strategy: Review data from successful Polymarket traders to identify the logic behind their edge (e.g., arbitrage, momentum, or probability mispricing).
Develop a Bot: Build a script/bot that connects to the Polymarket API.
Automate Execution: The bot should automatically buy "Yes" or "No" shares when specific conditions are met (e.g., if ETH on Binance pumps 1% in 5 mins, automatically buy "Up" on Polymarket).
Risk Management: Implement strict stop-loss mechanisms and position sizing to ensure no single trade risks more than X% of the portfolio.
Required Skills:
Strong proficiency in Python or Node.js.
Experience with Web3 (Ethers.js, Web3.js) and interacting with smart contracts on the Polygon network.
Experience with Polymarket API or similar prediction markets (Augur, Azuro).
Understanding of Order Books and Market Depth (to avoid slippage).
Ability to handle high-frequency data streams.
Deliverables:
A fully functional trading bot (source code included).
A backtest report showing how the strategy would have performed over the last 3 months.
Instructions on how to host and run the bot securely.
