About the Role
As a Customer Care Representative at blithequark, you'll be the primary point of contact for our clients and their employees, addressing their HR and financial queries, and providing education and support on various benefits and services. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and make a real difference in people's lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling a high volume of inbound calls from clients and their employees to answer questions, provide education, and resolve complex HR and financial issues related to health care benefits, 401k savings and retirement plans, leaves of absence, payroll, and more.
- Processing transactions such as health enrollments, tax and direct deposit updates, 401k withdrawals or contributions, and retirement elections, which may involve additional research and ongoing casework.
- Utilizing your computer navigation skills to toggle between multiple screens and systems to provide answers and support, and assisting callers in navigating these systems.
- Creating and updating files in our database and communicating with third parties to research and assist customers with updates or inquiries.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- 2 years of experience in a call center environment, preferably in a customer-facing role.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent telephone etiquette and active listening skills.
- The ability to adapt to change and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong customer service skills, with a focus on empathy and resolving customer issues.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to navigate multiple systems and screens.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications will be considered advantageous:
- Experience in HR or benefits administration.
- Knowledge of health care benefits, 401k savings and retirement plans, and other related services.
- Previous experience working with a similar client base or in a related industry.
