**Key Responsibilities:**
* Respond to telephone and email inquiries from clients and providers within defined service standards
* Negotiate with providers to gain acceptance for plans without network agreements and/or out of network providers
* Assist clients with benefits and healthcare questions
* Document all calls received in system-based call log
* Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex issues and improve customer satisfaction
* Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices to ensure exceptional service delivery
**Requirements and Qualifications:**
* High School Diploma or equivalent required; 2 years of college or higher education preferred
* 1 year of customer service or call center experience in a healthcare-related role
* Medical intake or Third-Party Administrator (TPA) experience a plus
* Bilingual English-Spanish a plus
* Strong customer relations, interpersonal, and communication skills
* Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
* Proficient with Microsoft applications and strong computer skills
* Excellent data entry and typing skills
* Knowledge of provider organizations and networks
* Understanding of CMS Medicare reimbursement rates
* Ability to effectively negotiate rate structures
* Strong analytical and research skills
* Medical terminology knowledge a plus
* Claim processing skills a plus
* Insurance verification or precertification a plus
* Provider office/facility billing department or financial area experience a plus
**Work Environment and Physical Demands:**
This position is in a typical office/home office environment, requiring prolonged sitting in front of a computer. You'll need hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment, including standard computer and phone equipment.
