**Job Summary**
As a Call Taker (Customer Service Representative) at arenaflex, you'll play a vital role in answering and responding to phone, electronic, and faxed requests for emergent and non-emergent transportation by ambulance and NEV. You'll provide professional and courteous service to hospitals, nursing facilities, private individuals, and 911 callers, ensuring that every interaction is efficient, accurate, and empathetic. **Key Responsibilities**
* Answer, screen, and direct calls for the entire company, ensuring prompt and accurate responses to customer inquiries
* Distinguish the need for emergency transportation and provide pre-arranged transport for facilities, determining the level of care needed for patients
* Arrange specialty and critical care transportation, communicating with multiple departments and EMS personnel as needed
* Provide information and assistance for customer service inquiries, developing effective solutions for customer service issues
* Communicate with customers to assist them in arranging appropriate transport, providing supportive information and guidance
* Direct calls to the Flight desk as appropriate, ensuring seamless communication and coordination
* Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the team
**Qualifications**
* Pleasant, professional phone manner, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends, with a flexible schedule
* Detail-oriented and organized, with strong typing skills (30 wpm or better)
* Ability to excel in a high-stress environment, adapting to frequently changing policies and procedures
* Medical background a plus, with the ability to learn policies and procedures for facilities and recognize when to apply them
* EMD certification required within 1 year of employment
