**Job Summary**
We're seeking an experienced Bilingual English and Spanish Customer Service Advocate to join our team. As a key member of our customer service team, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer experiences, navigating complex healthcare topics, and empowering individuals to take control of their health. **Key Responsibilities**
As a Bilingual English and Spanish Customer Service Advocate, you'll be responsible for:
* Responding to and resolving customer service inquiries and issues on the first call, including benefits, eligibility, and claims
* Helping guide and educate customers about the fundamentals and benefits of consumer-driven healthcare topics, including selecting the best benefit plan options and maximizing the value of their health plan benefits
* Initiating proactive outreach to members as needed, including welcoming new members to our health plans, addressing gaps in care, reviewing coverage, and referring and enrolling them to internal specialists and programs based on their needs and eligibility
* Contacting care providers (doctor's offices) on behalf of the customer to assist with appointment scheduling or connections with internal specialists for assistance
* Assisting customers in navigating myuhc.com and other arenaflex websites and encouraging and reassuring them to become self-sufficient
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
* Must be 18 years of age or older
* 1+ years of customer service experience
* Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
* Ability to work any of our full-time shift schedules during our normal business hours of 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM CST (Central Standard Time) from Monday - Friday. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.
**Preferred Qualifications**
While not required, we're looking for candidates with:
* Healthcare or insurance experience (familiarity with medical terminology, health plan documents, or benefit plan design)
* Social work, behavioral health, disease prevention, health promotion, and behavior change experience (working with vulnerable populations)
* Sales or account management experience
**Telecommuting Requirements**
As a remote employee, you'll need to:
* Keep all company-sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
* Establish a dedicated work area that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
* Live in a location that can receive a arenaflex-approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
**Compensation and Benefits**
We offer a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for career growth and development. The hourly range for this role is $16.88 to $33.22 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. arenaflex complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
