Job Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Accounting Analysis Manager to join our Channel Development/Global Accounting team. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with cross-functional groups across arenaflex to support new business initiatives and lead projects with a high-performing team that manages accounting processes for our Channel Development and global retail business. This position is critical to arenaflex's success and pioneering efforts within accounting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide inspirational leadership: communicate vision and strategy for the accounting team and foster a positive environment, instilling trust in leadership and collaboration to achieve business results.
- Oversee complex areas of accounting: manage accounting processes and provide clients with clear guidance on accounting implications.
- Enhance and collaborate for continuous process improvement: advise and lead others in the implementation of ideas and innovations to refine existing systems, internal controls, and workflows affecting month-end and quarter-end financial close and reporting.
- Assist with developing partners and build a high-performing team: mentor and motivate partners to meet business objectives, challenge the status quo, and seek continuous improvement. Engage, retain, and develop high-performing partners to address the needs of a growing business and provide ongoing smart development discussions.
- Enjoy managing a vibrant, fun team and have a clear ability to drive the business forward as part of a highly collaborative team, while acting in accordance with arenaflex's core values.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 4+ years of relevant experience in leading accounting projects for a large, global, public organization.
- Experience working cross-functionally with operations and business teams to implement accounting solutions for new business activities.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present accounting results and topics to finance and business leaders in a variety of settings and organizations.
- Experience with Blackline modules, including accounts, reconciliations, and journals modules.
- CPA or equivalent public accounting experience or higher.
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience with financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Knowledge of accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP and IFRS.
- Experience with accounting software and systems, including ERP systems and financial planning tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and provide insights and recommendations.
