The Republic of Colombia is the majority shareholder with an 88.49% interest.   Ecopetrol is currently exploring the opportunity to engage in the exploration and development of unconventional resources. By doing so, Ecopetrol will balance its upstream portfolio with short-term hydrocarbons and add diversification from a geographical and play perspective with access to light oil and gas. Moreover, engaging in unconventional opportunities outside of Colombia will allow Ecopetrol to learn the nuances of exploring and operating unconventional resources.    Rodeo is a Joint Venture (JV) between Occidental Petroleum and Ecopetrol in the Midland Basin, Texas, United States to develop unconventional resources. Oxy will operate the holdings based on a field development plan agreed upon by both companies. Ecopetrol will actively engage in the operations through the management team to build a robust understanding of unconventionals and provide oversight to the operations.   The Role    The ECP Permian Executive Staff, which reports to the President, is a professional's development opportunity to interact with senior management and various Boards of Directors and learn about business management, strategy, and negotiation techniques. The President will receive assistance from the Executive Staff regarding the planning, creation, and evaluation of reports, presentations, documents, business cases, and any other documents that must be delivered to corporate and various boards. The Executive Staff will collaborate with the ECP Permian Management Team to ensure accurate and timely information is provided and to ensure that the presidency is able to complete the tasks assigned to it.   Key Responsibilities    - Prepare information from the Presidency to present to different boards or other government instances by utilizing reports, documents, and business cases. All documents must be designed, reviewed, and optimized while ensuring that the requirements of previous instances in terms of strategy compliance and value generation are met. - Provide support to the presidency in the execution of the Board of Directors sessions, preparing, reviewing, and adjusting the information to be presented. - Monitoring and ensure closure of actions/request assigned to ECP Permian by the different Boards or Corporate. - Ensure timely information from ECP Permian to the Investor Relations quarterly calls, following the protocols of the partnership contracts.  - Coordinate the internal and external information that is generated for the different interest groups, on behalf of the Presidency and the Company, in order to structure the content, establish the messages and be the integrating point between the Presidency and the areas of the company, as well as between the Presidency and external agents. - Develop and build on relationships with employees for increased efficiency and responsiveness of existing projects with President and other members on special projects. - Collaborate with the technical areas and finance to monitor the performance of the ECP Permian. - Support periodic monitoring of the status, progress, and compliance of the plans for closing gaps as a result of the different company verification (risks and controls, audit, IAS, PQRS, etc.). - Manage the risks generated by the processes and projects through the implementation of the risk management cycle. - Execute and monitor the work plans of the best practices, normative references, standards, and new tools applicable to the Organization. - Interpret technical and financial reports. - Identify, diagnose, and recommend solutions to problems complex and sensitive in situations where there is ambiguity meaningful, adapting and interpolating existing solutions to generate a solution having several alternatives. - Collaborate with different teams to define and develop procedures, tools, and processes of your level of expertise. - Apply the HSE policies and procedures established in the organization. - Support and participate in any additional events that is assigned by the president.   Qualifications    - BS degree (technical or financial) required; MBA is a plus. - 5+ years in business and/or technical role - High potential employee with an excellent track record on one or more of the following: - Deliveries on projects - Previous jobs references - Individual performance evaluations  - Proficient in the English language (written and oral) required. - Proficient in the Spanish language (written and oral) required. - Strong Presentation and Communication/Interpersonal Skills. - Ability to Network between disciplines. - Ability to integrate Business and Technical areas.   Candidate Profile    - Energetic - High-performing and/or high-potential employee. - Flexibility to travel to the field as required as well as between Colombia and Texas  - Ability to demonstrate corporate culture values. - Strong interpersonal skills, confidence, and ability to work well with diverse personalities and workforce.  - Comfortable working with senior management. - Articulate, effective, and persuasive in verbal and written communication. - Ability to quantify risk and uncertainty. - Curious mind with an ability to ask great questions.
