The Gangarosa Department of Environmental Health is part of the prestigious Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University, recognized nationally for its leadership in public health education and research. Our department is at the forefront of environmental health science, with a strong focus on research areas such as climate change, environmental justice, environmental epidemiology, planetary health/one health, environmental -omics, implementation science, policy and communication, and data science applications.

With over 40 faculty members, including primary, joint, and adjunct appointments, our department offers a rich environment for interdisciplinary collaboration. Our faculty have achieved significant recognition for their research programs in water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), climate change, environmental epidemiology, toxicology, exposure science, risk analysis, infectious diseases, and environmental -omics.
