As a key player in our organization, you will be responsible for providing technical support to external content creation teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and driving success.
About the Role
As an External Support Engineer, you will be the bridge between our content teams and the tools engineering team. You will be the first point of contact for content teams facing issues with our tools, and you will filter issues and feedback to the tools team. Your expertise will enable you to provide top-notch support, create reference materials, and train external teams to get up to speed with our toolset.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to content/external teams in regards to the use of content tools, ensuring timely resolution of issues and maximizing productivity.
- Create reference materials and provide training to get external teams up to speed with the toolset, promoting efficient collaboration and minimizing errors.
- Solve and debug possible issues with tools and workflows to quickly resolve issues for users, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted workflow.
- Escalate more complex or problematic issues to the tool development team, and work with production to track these issues in JIRA, ensuring seamless issue resolution.
- Advocate for tools, workflow improvements, and suggestions from external teams, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
- Partner with other engineers to develop tools and processes that improve efficiency and quality, contributing to the growth and development of our organization.
- Guide or lead cross-disciplinary dialogs to drive features from initial concept to completion, fostering collaboration and driving results.
- Exemplify reliability, accountability, and professionalism in all work-related interactions, upholding the highest standards of our organization.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a strong foundation in the following areas:
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and understand C# code, with a strong understanding of programming principles and software development.
- Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication, including working with external partners, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Positive Attitude: Ability to receive and provide objective and constructive feedback, with a growth mindset and a willingness to learn and adapt.

Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications will be considered a plus:
- Computer Science or related degree: A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience, demonstrating a strong foundation in computer science and software development.
- Experience supporting a live service or tool environment: Experience supporting a live service or tool environment, with a proven track record of providing technical support and resolving issues.
- Unity 3D game and tool development experience: Experience with Unity 3D game and tool development, demonstrating a strong understanding of game development and tool development.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, or other defect tracking software: Experience with Jira, Confluence, or other defect tracking software, demonstrating a strong understanding of issue tracking and project management.
- iOS and Android mobile development experience: Experience with iOS and Android mobile development, demonstrating a strong understanding of mobile app development.
- 5 years' experience in delivering production-level code: 5 years' experience in delivering production-level code in a professional environment, demonstrating a strong track record of software development and delivery.

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $150,000 - $325,000, depending on your background, skills, and experience. Our compensation package includes a range of benefits, including:
